In a move to enhance safety and bolster capacity for travelers and local communities, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated a total of $110 million to over 70 airports nationwide. Among the beneficiaries, 24 airports in Middle Tennessee are set to receive nearly $25 million in funding. Notable recipients include Lawrenceburg/Lawrence County Airport, Pulaski’s Abernathy Field, Columbia/Mount Pleasant/Maury County Regional Airport, and Ellington Airport in Lewisburg, each slated to receive $144,000. This investment underscores the commitment to improving aviation infrastructure and ensuring a secure and efficient travel experience for all.
