On the afternoon of February 24, 2025, at approximately 4:00 PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) from the Florence Police Department received an alarming report regarding a potential threat directed at Florence High School. The concern arose after a video surfaced, showing an individual brandishing a firearm and making menacing statements about the school.
Upon reviewing the footage, the SRO recognized the individual as a student who was enrolled in night classes at Florence High. Acting swiftly, the officer established contact with the suspect. Subsequent investigations led to the identification and detention of the individual, identified as 18-year-old Jadarus Foster, who now faces charges of Terroristic Threats in the First Degree. It is important to note that Jadarus Foster is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
