Over the weekend, the annual 2024 Cops and Bobbers event took place, uniting the School Resource Officers (SROs) from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office with students from TN Camp Thrive for a day of fishing and camaraderie. Thanks to collaborative efforts with the LCSAP Coalition and various sponsors, each child received their own tackle box, a rod and reel, live bait, and a backpack filled with lures, hats, sunscreen, and other essentials. Piney Branch Livestock and the Harris family generously hosted the event at their picturesque lake, where they also prepared a delicious lunch to ensure that no child went home hungry.
