Alabama Man Taken into Custody for Public Indecency and Assault Offenses

A man from Alabama was taken into custody on Sunday following an incident that prompted deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office to respond to a call regarding an unwanted individual at a residence on Sanders Lane. Upon their arrival, the deputies encountered a male who was found to be unclothed. His behavior suggested that he was under the influence of substances, as he admitted to having consumed mushrooms.

The homeowner reported that the man had entered his house uninvited, barging into the bedroom while yelling and creating a disturbance. After this chaotic episode, the individual proceeded to the living room where he disrobed completely. In a further escalation, he slapped the homeowner before being forcibly removed from the premises. Following this altercation, the man moved to a neighboring house, where he forcibly kicked in the door.

Another resident in the vicinity came across the man and promptly called 911, managing to detain him until law enforcement arrived on the scene. The individual, identified as Butch Ray Giles from Salem, Alabama, was subsequently arrested. He now faces multiple charges, including assault, vandalism, aggravated burglary, public indecency, public intoxication, and resisting arrest.
