Alcohol Ban Implemented on TWRA Lands Starting April 15

In response to the increasing incidents of intoxicated trail riding and alcohol-related accidents in Wildlife Management Areas, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has taken a significant step. Effective Monday, April 15, the possession and consumption of alcohol will be strictly prohibited on all TWRA management areas across the state.

Under the new regulations, alcohol will only be allowed in designated TWRA campgrounds and on public waters that are either bordering or within a management area. Additionally, any form of drunken or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. These rules are applicable to all groups utilizing TWRA lands, and violators will face citations as a consequence of non-compliance.
