ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division Offers Boater Safety and Licensing Courses

This year, the Marine Patrol Division of ALEA is set to continue its initiative of providing free boater license and safety classes. These in-person sessions not only offer valuable instruction but also create an opportunity for participants to engage directly with local ALEA Troopers, enhancing the learning experience through hands-on training.

The inaugural class for this year is scheduled for Saturday, February 1st, and will take place at the Mobile Police Department, situated at 8080 Airport Blvd. The session will run from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, allowing ample time for participants to absorb the material.

For those interested in additional classes, a variety of options will be available throughout March in the Southern District. To find more information about these offerings, individuals can visit the ALEA website at https://www.alea.gov/dps/marine-patrol. Furthermore, classes catering to the central and northern regions of the state will be added to the online schedule in the near future, so it is advisable to check back regularly for updates on available courses in your locality.
