On Wednesday, June 19, the Juneteenth holiday will be commemorated, prompting various closures for residents to take note of. State and federal government offices, as well as the US Postal Service, will be closed. Additionally, the offices of Lawrence County Government and the Cities of Lawrenceburg, Loretto, and St. Joseph will also be closed in observance of the holiday. Lawrenceburg residents are advised that there will be no residential garbage pickup on Wednesday. Instead, Wednesday’s garbage routes will be serviced on Thursday to accommodate the holiday schedule.
