The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has published its statistics for the month of April, revealing a comprehensive overview of law enforcement activities in the area. Throughout the month, deputies engaged with the community by responding to a total of 1,130 calls for service. These interactions, which included both proactive measures and reactive responses, culminated in 342 arrests being made.
In addition to these arrests, deputies conducted 141 traffic stops, ensuring road safety and compliance with traffic regulations. The office also managed 307 civil processes, demonstrating their commitment to upholding legal proceedings. Notably, the deputies provided 24 funeral escorts, a service that underscores their role in supporting the community during sensitive times.
The statistics further indicate that there were 24 calls related to domestic violence, highlighting ongoing concerns in this area. Additionally, deputies dealt with 3 incidents of vandalism and responded to 24 burglar alarms, showcasing their vigilance in maintaining public safety. Animal-related calls accounted for 28 incidents, while 11 calls were made regarding fraud. The deputies also investigated 32 reports of suspicious persons or activities and recorded 14 thefts during the month.
