The Athens-Limestone County Public Library has revealed that there are still openings in their popular Read to a Therapy Dog initiative. This engaging 20-minute program is designed for students aged 6 to 18, allowing them to enjoy personalized reading sessions with friendly canine companions provided by Therapy Partners, Inc.
To participate, interested individuals can register by visiting the library’s website at ALCPL.org/Kids. Once registration is complete, organizers will reach out to schedule a convenient time for the session. In the event that all time slots are filled, participants will be placed on a waitlist and notified as soon as an opening arises. This program not only promotes literacy but also fosters a comforting environment for young readers.
