Barbara Ann Wright Misenhimer, 77, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2025, at Life Care Center of Ooltewah, TN, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 8, 1947, in Lawrenceburg, TN, to Jeff and Dean Wright, Barbara was known for her compassion and dedication to her family and teaching. She spent 39 years as an educator in the Lawrence County School System, leaving a lasting impact on countless children and developing lifelong friendships. Barbara was a devoted member of West Point United Methodist Church, where she served in various capacities and rededicated her life to Christ in 2023. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Don, her sons Terry (Amy) and Will (Courtney), and her cherished grandchildren Max and Zoe Misenhimer. Barbara’s love for life and family was evident in her frequent travels and unwavering support for her grandchildren’s activities. She will be dearly missed by her family, including her nephew Jeff Wright, and many others. In honor of her memory, the family has requested donations to Lawrenceburg Public School. Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, followed by a funeral service officiated by Brother Lucas Hunt. Barbara will be laid to rest at Blair Cemetery in West Point, TN. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is privileged to handle all final arrangements.
