The situation was complicated by the absence of a nearby water source, which necessitated a strategic response from the firefighters. They utilized the water from their own apparatus to safeguard two adjacent homes while waiting for tankers from multiple fire departments to arrive with additional water supplies.
Despite their efforts, the sawmill was ultimately deemed a total loss. Fortunately, the quick actions of the firefighters ensured that no other buildings were affected by the fire, and there were no reported injuries in connection with the incident.
