On Sunday evening, a fire broke out in a residential structure located in the Stoneybrook neighborhood of Maury County, leading to considerable damage. The Maury County Fire Department received the emergency call and arrived at the scene around 7:00 PM, where they discovered a substantial blaze originating in the garage. The flames quickly spread into the attic, prompting an urgent response from the firefighters.
Two individuals residing in the home were taken to the hospital by Maury EMS due to smoke inhalation, highlighting the fire’s severity. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control within approximately 30 minutes after the firefighters arrived, thanks to the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies.
In addition to the Maury County Fire Department, responders included Maury County 911, Columbia Fire and Rescue, Mount Pleasant Fire, the Maury County Sheriff’s Department, and Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services. Their collective efforts not only focused on extinguishing the fire but also on ensuring the safety of the residents and nearby neighbors.
