Bobby Leon Owens, 82, of Summertown, TN, passed away on September 16, 2025, at his residence. He was a retired electronic technician from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a devoted member of the Southern Baptist Faith. Bobby was born in Lawrence County, TN, to Olon James and Geneva Eloise Foster Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard, Stephen, and Denver Owens.
Bobby is survived by his brother, Ronald E. Owens of Chesapeake, VA; three nephews, Shawn, Lonnie, and Chad Owens, all of Summertown, TN; four nieces, Tracy Johnson of Chesapeake, VA, Michelle Knight of Summertown, TN, Patricia Owens of Portsmouth, VA, and Katherine Allison of Chesapeake, VA; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with Keith Durham officiating. Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
