On Friday, emergency responders in Hardin County recovered a vehicle from the Tennessee River, which contained the remains of an 88-year-old woman from Dickson County. This individual, Joann McWilliams, had been the focus of a Silver Alert issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after she was reported missing on October 5. The last confirmed sighting of McWilliams was in Lexington, Tennessee, prompting her family and local authorities to initiate a search for her. Reports indicate that her SUV had entered the river at the Saltillo boat ramp, leading to the tragic discovery.
