Brenda Nelson Dickey, 81, of Ethridge, passed away on July 26, 2025, just 5 days shy of her 82nd birthday. Brenda was born in Cleveland, OH on July 31, 1943, to Marvin and Bernice Rose Nelson. She was a dedicated employee of Kay Windsor, Santini’s Manufacturing, and retired from Maury Regional Medical Center. Brenda was a cherished member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, known for her love of cooking for her family, caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoying reading and puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Bernice Nelson and her husband of 58 years, James Revis Dickey.
Brenda is survived by her daughter Pam Dickey Matney and husband John of Ethridge, son Derrick Dickey of Ethridge, brother Leonard Nelson and wife Karen of Ethridge, grandson Josh Matney of Ethridge, granddaughter Adria White and husband Brad of Lawrenceburg, great-granddaughter Avery White of Lawrenceburg, and great-grandson Elan White of Lawrenceburg.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Brenda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
