Capley Unveils Grant Funding for Senior Centers in Lawrence and Wayne

State Representative Kip Capley has revealed that approximately $65,000 in state grants has been successfully obtained to enhance facilities and broaden services for senior citizens in both Lawrence and Wayne Counties. This funding is part of a larger $5 million initiative overseen by the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging, aimed at bolstering senior centers across the state.

Specifically, the Lawrence County Senior Center is set to benefit from a substantial allocation of $50,000, which will aid in improving its offerings. Meanwhile, Wayne County Senior Citizens, Inc. will receive $15,000 to support its programs and services for older adults. This financial support underscores the commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in these communities.
