Carolyn French, age 85, of Lexington, AL, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her home after an extended illness. She was a native of Mitchelltown, AL, a seamstress, and a devoted member of the Baptist faith. A Memorial Service will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Bobby Walton and Michael Seth Crunk officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on the same day at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Survivors include her two sons, Russell French (Bettie) of Moulton, AL, and Dayton French of Lexington, AL; three brothers, Ronnie Walton (Lois) of Killen, AL, Robert Walton (Linda) of Killen, AL, and T.E. Walton of Greenville, TX; two sisters, Shelia Gooch of Hartselle, AL, and Rita Mae Blanke of Florence, AL; four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Dayton French Sr.; her daughter, Shari French Crunk; her sister, Jean Hale; and her parents, Reeder and Era Mae Walton.
Carolyn will be remembered for her loving nature, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
