CEO of Maury Regional Health Engages with Lawrenceburg Rotary Club

At the recent meeting of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club held on Friday, August 8, 2025, Dr. Martin Chaney, the Chief Executive Officer of Maury Regional Health, was the featured speaker. Dr. Chaney, who has been an integral part of Maury Regional since 2002 and took on the role of CEO in 2022, shared valuable insights regarding the changing healthcare environment in southern Middle Tennessee.

Maury Regional Health caters to a diverse population exceeding 260,000 individuals across an expansive eight-county area. The organization is bolstered by a workforce of over 3,300 employees and 300 physicians. During his presentation, Dr. Chaney highlighted the organization’s unwavering dedication to providing clinical excellence and compassionate care to every patient, every day. He articulated their vision of becoming the preferred choice for health and wellness services in the region.

As a quasi-governmental, not-for-profit health system, Maury Regional Health has earned recognition for its outstanding patient experience, ranking in the top 15% of hospitals nationwide. Dr. Chaney discussed important service volume statistics, the system’s contributions to charitable care, and the ongoing transition towards becoming a tertiary care center. This transition will enable the facility to offer advanced and specialized medical services, including a growing number of robotic-assisted surgeries.

With the steady population growth in Middle Tennessee, Dr. Chaney also provided insights into future developments, including plans for campus expansion aimed at addressing the rising demand for healthcare services while ensuring uninterrupted access to high-quality care throughout the service area. Additionally, he offered a brief overview of the services that will be available at the new Maury Regional Health medical facility currently under construction in Lawrence County.

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club, which convenes weekly, remains steadfast in its commitment to the principle of “service above self.” The club focuses on initiatives that enhance health, education, and overall quality of life both within the local community and on a global scale.
