The Chapel Hill Fire Department has received a generous grant of $95,000 from the Gary Sinise Foundation to acquire a new brush truck. In collaboration with the Town of Chapel Hill, the necessary additional funds were secured to purchase a 2023 Chevrolet 3500 Silverado Crew Cab brush unit. This specialized vehicle was expertly crafted and equipped by Southern Fire Apparatus based in Houston, Texas. An upcoming public relations event is scheduled for July, organized by the Gary Sinise Foundation, to showcase the capabilities of this new apparatus and to shed light on the foundation’s noble mission.
