Charles Edward Morris, 83, of Pulaski, TN, passed away on April 21st, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born on December 20th, 1941, Charles was a devoted husband to his wife Helen for 60 years. He was a retired machinist from Gabriel Manufacturing and a proud member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church.
Known as “Grandaddy” to many, Charles was also a member of the P.A.C.E Car Club and enjoyed spending time with his fishing buddies, who affectionately called him “Ski-Daddy.” He was an avid fisherman, huntsman, and friend to all. Charles loved old cars, jukeboxes, and making memories with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Melonie, brother Chester, sister Lena, grandchildren Shelley and Eric Britt, Chasity and Timothy Strickland, Zackery Morris, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Charles is also survived by his good friends Jimmy Miller, Vernon Miller, and Mike Deitsch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm in the Chapel. The burial will take place in Scotts Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or the Scotts Hill Cemetery.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Jefferson Morris and Gladys Mayella Holt Morris, his son Timothy E. Morris, brothers Thomas F. Morris and William Paul Morris, and his sister Ruby Storey.
