At approximately 5 a.m., authorities discovered a pedestrian lying on the roadway of Tom J. Hitch Parkway, close to the River Highlands Apartments. The victim, identified as 63-year-old Teresa Nelson, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
