In a recent development reported by Main Street Maury, a 44-year-old man from Columbia has been apprehended on multiple charges, including the sexual exploitation of a minor. Eric Kerr Swartz was taken into custody on March 6, 2025, and subsequently placed in the Maury County Jail. Following his arrest, he was released after posting a bond amounting to $155,000.
Court documents reveal that Swartz allegedly engaged in inappropriate electronic communication with a 17-year-old girl, sending and receiving pornographic images on several occasions throughout February and March of this year. The charges against him include exploitation of a minor through electronic means, as well as soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor. Swartz is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on March 26, 2025, where further proceedings will take place.
