The program features a state-certified curriculum tailored specifically for students enrolled in Columbia State’s Associate of Science in Teaching program, facilitating their transition into teaching roles and equipping them for successful careers in education.
Participants in this program will benefit from practical, hands-on experience within classroom settings, which serves as a direct entry point into the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program. This initiative is particularly advantageous for high school graduates and those entering the workforce, as it offers a streamlined route to obtaining a teaching license. To qualify for this pre-apprenticeship program, students must achieve a minimum ACT score of 21 or successfully pass the Praxis CORE exam, in addition to maintaining a GPA of at least 2.75.
