Community Meeting on Strategies for Public Hazard Mitigation

A public meeting focused on hazard mitigation planning is set to take place, organized by the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency. This gathering aims to revise the Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is essential for minimizing the risks associated with natural disasters that can affect the community, including tornadoes, flooding, droughts, and severe weather events.

Community members are encouraged to participate, regardless of their prior knowledge about mitigation strategies. The Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency, in collaboration with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, is eager to gather insights and experiences from residents.

The meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 28th, at 10:00 AM, and will be held at the Lawrence Emergency Operations Center, located at 25 Public Square in Lawrenceburg.
