Construction commenced this past week at the site designated for the South Lawrence Solid Waste Convenience Center in Loretto. The project has been made possible through grant funding, which facilitated the acquisition of a track hoe. This heavy machinery is currently being utilized to prepare the land for the new facility. Once completed, the center will offer residents in the southern region of the county a more accessible option for disposing of their household waste.
