Authorities are currently looking into a significant theft that took place at a construction site located on Lovers Lane, where approximately $14,000 worth of tools and equipment were reported missing. The incident was brought to light on July 18 when the property owner, who resides in another part of the county, notified deputies that an enclosed trailer had been taken from the site. This individual is in the process of constructing a new home at the Lovers Lane address and runs a business specializing in insulation.
According to the property owner, the trailer had been securely parked behind a shop on the premises just a day prior to its disappearance. Upon returning to the site, they discovered that the trailer was no longer there. The trailer in question is characterized as a 16-foot white enclosed unit, featuring three black wheels and one silver wheel, and notably lacks any markings or logos that would identify its owner.
Inside the trailer were several high-value items, including a blowing machine, an 8000-watt generator, a 10-foot ladder, 200 feet of hose, and 30 bags of blown-in insulation. When combined with the estimated value of the trailer itself, the total loss amounts to approximately $13,900.
The property owner mentioned that trail cameras had been set up along the driveway to monitor activity, but upon inspection, it was discovered that the SIM cards containing the recorded footage had been removed. This has led the owner to suspect that the theft may have been executed by someone who was familiar with the property and its security measures.
Investigators are currently analyzing various pieces of evidence, including digitally altered images of the trailer that have been modified to include a logo for easier identification. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding this theft.
