The Lewis County Commission is set to convene for its regular session this evening, with a number of significant items on the agenda. One of the key matters to be addressed is a resolution seeking approval for a USDA loan amounting to $4,235,000. This loan is intended to fund the construction of the new Lewis County High School. Additionally, the commission will consider a resolution to accept the Norris Construction bid for the renovations at the Health Department.
Furthermore, the commission will deliberate on resolutions pertaining to the approval of non-profit contributions for the upcoming fiscal year. The 2024-2025 property tax rate will also be up for consideration. Notably, there will be a resolution requesting that all public safety telecommunications officers in Lewis County be designated as first responders by Congress.
