In a significant development for Lawrence County, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, along with Commissioners Stuart C. McWhorter from the Department of Economic and Community Development, announced that Craig Manufacturing USA, Inc. will be expanding its operations in the area. This expansion will result in the creation of 30 new jobs and an investment of $4.4 million at their existing facility in Lawrenceburg. The company plans to enhance its manufacturing space by an impressive 24,000 square feet.
Once the expansion is finalized, Craig Manufacturing will employ a total of 110 individuals at its site located within the Team Lawrence Commerce Park, which is recognized as a Select Tennessee Certified Site. Established in 1946, Craig Manufacturing specializes in producing steel attachments that are essential for various sectors, including heavy construction, forestry, mining, energy, and utility equipment.
The company, which is headquartered in New Brunswick, Canada, also maintains operations in Alberta and Ontario. It plays a crucial role in the supply chain by providing products directly to original equipment manufacturers and their regional dealer networks. Notably, Canada ranks as Tennessee’s third-largest partner in foreign direct investment, with Canadian firms contributing nearly $1.7 billion and generating approximately 3,800 jobs across the state.
