David Crockett State Park is excited to introduce its new park manager, Ann Paley. Hailing from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Ann has a profound connection to both the park and the surrounding community. Her journey with David Crockett State Park began during her college years when she took on various seasonal roles, starting in 2009.
After completing her undergraduate studies in linguistics and a master’s degree in applied linguistics at the University of Mississippi, Ann transitioned to a seasonal interpretive ranger position at Pickwick Landing State Park in 2015. Her time there was brief, as she quickly received a full-time ranger position at Chickasaw State Park. In 2016, she also graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA), further enhancing her qualifications.
In 2021, Ann returned to David Crockett State Park as a full-time ranger, where she has demonstrated remarkable growth in both leadership and dedication to her role. Now, as she steps into the position of Park Manager, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating her well-deserved achievement.
