Delmer Leon Cody, 87, of Killen, AL, passed away on December 6, 2025, at his home. Delmer was a retired employee of Murray Ohio Manufacturing and a proud United States Army Veteran. He was known for his quick wit and outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger without a joke. Delmer had a deep love for his family and a passion for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He is survived by his son Jeff Cody, daughter Shelley James (Tim), sister Evelyn Lovell (Frank), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Delmer was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Cody, parents Marshall Cody and Gladys Quillen Cody, and several siblings.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Center Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will include Braydon Nichols, Tony Scott, Jeff Trousdale, Stann Cody, Jonathan Johnson, and Cazz Brown.
