A deputy clerk in Hardin County has admitted to tax evasion and perjury after an investigation by the Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue. Kimberly Wilkerson’s guilty plea arose from allegations that she unlawfully registered her own vehicle to avoid paying use tax. As a result, Wilkerson has been sentenced to two years of probation, instructed to pay restitution and fines, and mandated to resign from her position at the Hardin County Clerk’s Office.
