Discovery of Deceased Disabled Teen Linked to Welfare Check

Over the weekend, a welfare check at an RV park in Lawrence County took a grim turn as deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene on Country Road near the Giles County line. The purpose of the check was to ensure the well-being of an individual, but instead, emergency personnel made a somber discovery.

Inside the camper, they found a deceased male teenager who was fully disabled. Authorities have stated that there is no suspicion of foul play in connection with the tragic incident. To determine the cause of death, the body will be sent for an autopsy.
