Donald Dale Truitt, 82, of Lexington, passed away on December 25, 2025, at his residence. Don was the retired Data Processing Director for the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL, and a devoted member of Clements Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vonda Stallings Truitt, his daughter LeAnn Newsom (Scott), brothers Waylon Truitt (Brenda) and Gary Truitt (Myra), sister-in-law Cheryl Truitt, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, James Ruford Truitt and Dessie Elizabeth McGee Truitt, and his brother Wendell Truitt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 3:00pm, with Caleb Gooch officiating and Jenny Kyle and Catherine Esary presenting the music. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Tim Truitt, Eric Truitt, Terry Truitt, John Truitt, Cameron Frost, and Michael Jenkins.
