Donnie Ray Dial

Donnie Ray Dial, 78, of Killen, passed away on February 19, 2025, at his residence. He was a devoted computer programmer for Tennessee Valley Authority and a cherished member of North Carolina Church of Christ. Donnie’s love for sports, particularly baseball, softball, bowling, and golf, brought him immense joy throughout his life. He dedicated many years to coaching softball, positively impacting the lives of numerous young ladies. His passion for golf led to enduring friendships with his golfing buddies at Florence Country Club and Cypress Lakes. Above all, Donnie was a devout Christian who profoundly influenced the lives of many.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Jayne Dial, his son Greg Dial (Tammie), his daughter Ragan Burks, his grandchildren David Dial (Shannon), Lydia Baker (Kaleb), Collin Burks, Levi Dial (Maddie), and Lottie Burks, as well as his great-grandchildren Avery Dial, Luke Dial, and Willow Dial. He is also survived by his brother Roger Dial (Julia).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Elmer Dial and Elois Turpen Dial, his brother Terry Dial, and his son-in-law Jamie Burks.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Don Williams officiating. Donnie will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Roger Dial, David Dial, Collin Burks, Kaleb Baker, Bengie Hines, and Greg Dial.

Donnie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, faith, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
