Residents of Tennessee who have yet to secure their REAL IDs will soon have the opportunity to do so on Saturdays at select locations across the state. The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has revealed plans to provide additional Saturday appointments at 14 Driver Services Centers for those who currently hold valid credentials and are looking to upgrade to a REAL ID.
Beginning this weekend, Saturday appointments will be available at 13 of these designated centers. Furthermore, starting on March 29th, the Driver Services Center located in Savannah, Tennessee, will also join the initiative by offering Saturday appointments. The department has confirmed that these Saturday sessions will continue until the deadline for REAL ID compliance, which is set for May 7th.
Among the participating centers in Middle Tennessee are the Clarksville Driver Services Center at 220 West Dunbar Cave Road, the Columbia Driver Services Center at 1701 Hampshire Pike, the Cookeville Driver Services Center at 1600 South Jefferson Avenue, and the Nashville/Hickory Hollow Driver Services and Reinstatement Center situated at 5216 Hickory Hollow Parkway. This initiative aims to facilitate the process for residents needing to obtain their REAL IDs before the upcoming deadline.
