Earlene Jones McDonald

Earlene Jones McDonald, 93, of Lexington, AL, passed away on June 21, 2025. She was a retired garment industry worker and a devoted member of the Peppertown Free Will Baptist Church.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis McDonald, her son, Jeff McDonald, her parents, Louis and Lucindia Jones, her brothers, Doyle and Hollis Jones, and her sisters, Maudie East, Willie Pearl Barnett, Audrey Killen, Rachel Fleming, Dot Jones, and Jeanette Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Patterson (Randy), grandchildren Laura Huskey, Nick Patterson (April), Kesha Durham (Casey), Zack McDonald (Kelli), and great-grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Ella, Archer, Mable, Linkin, Axel, Mila, Liam, and her first great-great-grandchild who is on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Ora Lee Allen, and several nieces and nephews.

Earlene was known for her love of family, her sense of humor, and her dedication to her church. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses who cared for her and the friends who supported her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Nick Patterson, Zack Patterson, Ronald Killen, Dennis Killen, Jordan Dean, and Chris Killen. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery.
