In Lawrence County on Friday evening, a distress call was made as a fire broke out, leading to the collapse of a home’s roof onto three firefighters. The emergency response team swiftly headed to the 121 Redhill Center Road residence following reports of billowing black smoke. Concerns were initially raised about potential occupants inside the house, but it was later confirmed that no one was present at the time of the incident. One of the trapped firefighters managed to free themselves, while the remaining two were rescued through a window by their fellow firefighters. Subsequently, all three firefighters were promptly transported to the hospital for assessment and treatment. Fortunately, they were later discharged after receiving medical care.
