In a swift response on Wednesday morning, ten members of the Maury County Fire Department rushed to Valley Creek Road in the Culleoka community following reports of a saddle tank rupture on a vehicle. Upon arrival, responders discovered that the saddle tank had sustained damage while crossing the railroad tracks.
The Maury County Office of Emergency Management promptly mobilized spill containment resources to the scene. Station 23 also took action by deploying oil dry at the railroad crossing to address the spill. Additionally, a private company was present to assist in containing the spill and conducting cleanup operations in the affected area.
