Esther Denbo Lipman (Dede) passed away Monday evening, April 8th, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, Pulaski, Tennessee surrounded by her loved ones. Dede was born on October 23, 1930 to Ike and Jeanette Denbo. She graduated from Giles County High School and attended Vanderbilt University.
She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Ted Lipman. She and Ted were true partners in life. Their deep love for each other was always on display whether at home, enjoying time on their boat, the “Miss Dede”, cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodore and Tennessee Titans football teams or traveling the world.
Dede was a lifelong resident of Pulaski. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, weekends on the boat and spending time with her friends. She was the first female member of the Giles County School Board.
Her greatest joy in life was her family – her daughter, Marianne Lipman Levenson and son, Larry Lipman who she loved deeply and their families, including their spouses, Terry and Betty, and their children, her grandchildren – Josh, Tressa (Morgan), Edie (Josh) and Jenna (Sruli) and the apples of her eyes, her 10 great-grandchildren, Maddox, Avery, Carson, Sienna, Maya, Elliana, Jackson, Kobi, Esti and Nava and a special friend Lori Fox, all who survive her.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Charles and Morley Denbo.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 1:30pm Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at The Temple Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, 2001 15th Ave. N. Nashville, TN 37208.
