A grand jury has formally charged a former employee of Perry County Schools with serious offenses, including aggravated statutory rape and solicitation of a minor. According to court documents, Rachel Carroll was reportedly involved with an individual aged between 13 and 18 in January of the previous year. In response to the allegations, school officials took immediate action by placing Carroll on administrative leave as soon as they were made aware of the situation.
