On the afternoon of September 8, emergency responders from Lawrence County Fire Rescue were alerted to a structure fire within the Ethridge Fire District. Initial dispatch reports indicated that the residence was occupied and flames were already visible. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene, where Ethridge Chief 2 reported that the blaze had been successfully extinguished and contained to its source. Following the successful operation, all units, with the exception of the first engine that had responded, were subsequently called off.
