Florence Apartment Fire on Friday Forces Families to Find Temporary Shelter

In a recent incident in Florence, a total of 16 individuals were forced to evacuate their homes due to a fire that tore through an apartment complex. The Times Daily disclosed that the fire broke out around 11:45 PM on Friday at the Heatherwood Apartments located on Mars Hill Road. Upon the firefighters’ arrival at the scene, they were met with a daunting sight of flames and thick smoke billowing out, while all tenants were in the process of evacuating the premises.

Despite the intensity of the situation, the firefighters managed to confine the fire to the attic area, preventing it from spreading further. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident, although the lives of four families were significantly impacted by the fire. The dedicated firefighters worked tirelessly at the scene, finally bringing the situation under control shortly after 5 AM on Saturday morning.
