Florence Firefighters Rescue Three Pets from Blaze in Residential Home

In a dramatic rescue on the night of May 4th, Florence firefighters successfully saved three pets from a house fire that caused significant damage to a residence. The incident unfolded shortly after 7:00 PM in the 300 block of North Fulton Street, prompting a swift response from Florence Fire and Rescue. Upon arrival, Engine 4 discovered that the carport was engulfed in fierce flames, which were rapidly spreading into the attic and affecting parts of the home.

As additional firefighting units arrived to assist, the crew from Engine 4 immediately began combating the blaze. Their efforts were focused on controlling the fire, which they managed to do after a determined fight. Following the initial suppression, firefighters dedicated about an hour to extinguishing lingering hot spots to ensure that the fire was completely out.

Fortunately, all three pets that were trapped inside the home were rescued unharmed, and there were no reported injuries among the residents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
