Florence Police Pursue Additional Suspect Following Downtown Incident

The Florence Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in identifying a man linked to a brawl that took place in downtown Florence early Sunday morning. The incident unfolded around 1:50 a.m. on August 10, specifically in the 100 block of North Court Street, prompting officers to respond to reports of a fight in progress.

As law enforcement arrived to manage the initial disturbance, one officer noticed a separate altercation occurring nearby. In an effort to control the situation, the officer utilized pepper spray on both individuals involved in this second confrontation. Following this, the officer managed to take one of the men to the ground. However, the second individual attempted to flee the scene and was also subdued and handcuffed.

While the officer was working to regain control, a sizable crowd gathered, obstructing access to the first man and enabling him to escape before he could be apprehended. In the aftermath of the incident, Teondre Hubbard, a 21-year-old resident of Florence, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. He has since been released from the Lauderdale County Detention Center after posting a $500 bond. It is important to note that he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, authorities are focused on identifying the second man involved in the altercation, who was captured in photographs during the incident.
