A man from Florence is now facing a series of drug-related charges following a search operation conducted by law enforcement on Tuesday. The Lauderdale County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located at 509B Chestnut Street, which was part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug activities at that address. The warrant was issued after authorities gathered evidence suggesting that one of the individuals living there was engaged in the distribution of illegal drugs.
During the course of the search, investigators uncovered approximately 15 grams of fentanyl, along with a small amount of methamphetamine, commonly referred to as ICE. In addition to the drugs, various items typically associated with the packaging and distribution of narcotics were also found at the scene.
The individual arrested in connection with this operation has been identified as 27-year-old Timothy Austin Russ, a resident of Florence. He now faces several charges, including Trafficking in Fentanyl, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Lauderdale County Drug Task Force has expressed gratitude for the collaboration and support provided by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office during this operation, which they have hailed as another successful effort in combating drug-related crime. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
