FOLCA Launches New Pet Microchip Scanning Station

In a significant step towards reuniting lost pets with their owners, Friends of Lawrence County Animals has set up a pet microchip scanning station at the Lawrenceburg Police Department. This new facility is designed to streamline the process of identifying lost animals, making it easier for concerned citizens and law enforcement to assist in their safe return.

The microchip scanner will enable users to quickly determine if a pet is equipped with a microchip. In instances where a microchip is detected, the scanner will provide the necessary contact details for the microchip company. This information will facilitate communication with the pet’s owner, allowing for a coordinated effort to bring the beloved animal back home.

This initiative reflects a growing commitment to animal welfare in the community, ensuring that lost pets can be swiftly identified and reunited with their families.
