Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office made a significant discovery last week at the intersection of Five Points and Rabbit Trail Road. A handgun, identified as a Model 1911, was recovered along with cartridges. The recovery was initiated after a deputy was approached by an individual at the Dollar General on March 14th, who provided information about the location of the items. The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward and contact them promptly.
