In response to numerous reports regarding illegal activities at a residence located on Grant Drive in Elkmont, Alabama, a coordinated drug enforcement operation was executed on Thursday, January 9th, 2025. This operation involved the Limestone County Drugs Unit, the Athens Police Department, and various other law enforcement agencies. The investigation led to two traffic stops as officers monitored the property.
During the first traffic stop, authorities discovered two ounces of methamphetamine, half an ounce of marijuana, and a firearm. A subsequent traffic stop yielded two additional firearms and another two ounces of methamphetamine. The findings from these stops prompted law enforcement to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
When the Limestone County SWAT team executed the search warrant, they uncovered further evidence of illegal activity, including two more firearms, a small amount of marijuana, and a significant quantity of methamphetamine exceeding 1507 grams, which is approximately 3.3 pounds.
As a result of the operation, several individuals were charged. Danielle Latrice Crutcher, 31, from Elkmont, faces six charges with a bond set at $205,500. Dartavian Anwar Crutcher, 19, from Athens, has been charged with two offenses and has a bond of $101,000. Deandre Marquis Vaughn, 21, from Huntsville, is facing one charge with a bond of $100,000. Lastly, Uganda Tanzania Crutcher, 51, also from Elkmont, has one charge with a bond set at $1,000.
