Fredrick Leon “Freddy” Butler, 74, of Florence, passed away on January 8, 2025, at his residence. He was retired from NAFCO. Fredrick is survived by his sons, Dale Butler and Duane Butler, his daughter, Melanie McWilliams (Harlan), his brother, O.L. Butler, and his sisters, Brenda Pettus and Patricia Newton (Alfred). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Fredrick was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Gautney Butler, his parents, Otis Leo Butler and Vera Mae Richardson Butler, his brother-in-law, Ed Pettus, and his best friend, Kenneth Miller. Due to inclement weather, the arrangements will be announced later. Pallbearers will be Will Bevis, Will Armstrong, Dustin Butler, Caleb Butler, Hunter Butler, and Noah Marks. The family would like to thank Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their care. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
