In a proactive move to combat crime, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office executed a saturation/show of force operation on Friday night. The operation, which ran from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, involved deputies from various units including patrol, warrant service, criminal investigation, drug and violent crime, and SWAT.
Deputies were strategically deployed to high crime and high call areas with the objective of saturating these locations through a significant number of traffic stops. Throughout the operation, a total of 18 arrests were made, resulting in 25 charges being filed. Notably, four of the arrests were made without the need for warrants.
Approximately 60-70 traffic stops were conducted as part of the operation, demonstrating a strong law enforcement presence in the targeted areas. The initiative aimed to deter criminal activity and enhance public safety within Lawrence County.
